1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, installing, or using LexiconVault ("the Application"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be legally bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, discontinue use immediately.
2. License Grant
LexiconVault grants you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Application on your mobile devices for personal, educational, and non-commercial vocabulary study.
You may not decompile, reverse-engineer, sell, sublicense, or distribute modified packages of the application without prior written consent.
3. User-Generated Content & Intellectual Property
LexiconVault is a self-directed study tool:
- Your Content Ownership: You retain complete ownership and copyright of any custom definitions, mnemonic notes, flashcard sentences, and study lists you author within the app.
- Content Responsibility: You are solely responsible for ensuring that custom content you import or enter does not violate any third-party intellectual property or copyright laws.
4. Educational Tool & Exam Preparation Disclaimer
LexiconVault provides spaced repetition scheduling algorithms and vocabulary organization utilities.
- No Guarantee of Academic or Test Scores: The app is an aid for self-study. We do not guarantee specific scores or outcomes on standardized tests (e.g. GRE, SAT, TOEFL, IELTS, MCAT, LSAT).
- Verification of Definitions: While standard presets strive for accuracy, users are encouraged to cross-reference linguistic nuances and official dictionaries.
5. Local Storage & Backup Responsibility
LexiconVault operates with a 100% offline, local-first storage architecture. Your flashcards and review intervals reside on your device. We are not responsible for data loss arising from device damage, uninstallation, or operating system resets. Regular export of your data via the export feature is recommended.
6. Proprietary App Rights
The app design, codebase, spaced repetition algorithms, branding, and graphic assets are the exclusive intellectual property of the developers and protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties ("AS IS")
LexiconVault is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or error-free operation.
8. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall LexiconVault, its developers, or contributors be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the Application or loss of study data.
9. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Application signifies your acceptance of any revisions.
